6/5/22 - Pentecost Sunday - Cycle C
Dear Families,
This Sunday is the feast of Pentecost and we celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles ten days after his Ascension into heaven. In the first reading in the Acts of the Apostles the Holy Spirit came to Mary and the Apostles in the form of wind and tongues of fire. The apostles immediately went out and began to preach and teach people about Jesus. In the Gospel of John, we read again, how Jesus greeted his disciples with the words of peace. He breathes on them the gifts of the Holy Spirit to help them spread his message of peace and forgiveness.
Let us celebrate the gifts of the Holy Spirit by remembering that this same Holy Spirit is with us today. He helps us do what is right so that we may go out to share the words of Jesus and spread the message of God’s love and forgiveness.

Querida Familias,
Este domingo es la fiesta de Pentecostés y celebramos el don del Espíritu Santo sobre los Apóstoles diez días después de su Ascensión al cielo. En la primera lectura de los Hechos de los Apóstoles, el Espíritu Santo vino a María y a los Apóstoles en forma de viento y lenguas de fuego. Los apóstoles inmediatamente salieron y comenzaron a predicar y enseñar a la gente acerca de Jesús. En el Evangelio de Juan, leemos de nuevo, cómo Jesús saludó a sus discípulos con las palabras de paz. Él sopla sobre ellos los dones del Espíritu Santo para ayudarlos a difundir su mensaje de paz y perdón.
Celebremos los dones del Espíritu Santo recordando que este mismo Espíritu Santo está hoy con nosotros. Él nos ayuda a hacer lo correcto para que podamos salir a compartir las palabras de Jesús y difundir el mensaje del amor y el perdón de Dios.
