Dear Families,

This first Sunday after Pentecost, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, and today we remember that God revealed himself to us as one God in three Persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus told the disciples they were to make disciples of all nations. He said they were to baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Today the Church continues to teach all people about Jesus and baptize in the name of the Trinity. When we were baptized, the priest said, “I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.” Through our Baptism, we share both in the life of the Blessed Trinity and in the Church’s mission to teach all people about Jesus.

Querida Familias,

Este primer domingo después de Pentecostés celebramos la Solemnidad de la Santísima Trinidad, y hoy recordamos que Dios se nos reveló como un solo Dios en tres Personas: El Padre, el Hijo y el Espíritu Santo. En el Evangelio de Mateo, Jesús les dijo a los discípulos que debían hacer discípulos de todas las naciones. Dijo que debían bautizarlos en el nombre del Padre, del Hijo y del Espíritu Santo.

Hoy en día, la Iglesia continúa enseñando a todas las personas acerca de Jesús y bautizando en el nombre de la Trinidad. Cuando fuimos bautizados, el sacerdote dijo: "Yo te bautizo en el nombre del Padre, y del Hijo y del Espíritu Santo". A través de nuestro Bautismo, compartimos tanto la vida de la Santísima Trinidad como la misión de la Iglesia de enseñar a todas las personas acerca de Jesús.
